Good habits for life

Be responsible for your life
Put yourself in the driver’s seat. If you let other people drive your life, you will end up in places you may not want to be.  See the world as it is, learn the rules, and find your unique way to do things.

Continuously self-improve
Life is a continuous string of problems. There are so many things to learn. Only through self-improvement and continuous learning, you will be in control of your life.

Do the right things at the right time
Everything has its place. Every opportunity has its time. If you act too early or too late, things are more difficult to achieve. But if you are aware of the rhythm of time, life will be like a harmonious melody.

Make the most out of any situation
You cannot choose what happen to you, but you can choose your response to it. If you do your best in any situation, your life will become better no matter the circumstances.

Care for others as for oneself
Ultimately, you will see that every sentient being is somehow connected to you. They can feel the same pain and also the same happiness. With a simple action or a small sacrifice from your side, you may make other people very happy. Look for what people truly need and help whenever you can.

Give without expecting anything back
When you give, you will get. When you truly care for others, giving and getting are the same in essence. Expectation is a product of our limited understanding of the world and will ultimately lead to unhappiness.

Stay within your circle of influence
Everybody is limited and has their work to do. Use your limited resources & energy for the things you really can influence. For example: become a role model for right actions, rather than telling people what’s the right things to do.

Focus on one thing at a time
Doing too many things at once will cost more time than doing them one after another. Give your most important task the maximum attention it deserves. For example: listen to your children, when they try to tell you something. Then reading messages on your phone.

Work for a higher purpose
It’s easy to get trap in daily routines and forget why you work so hard. If you can choose, choose work which bring value to others and serve a higher purpose. These kinds of work will give you more fulfillment and meaning in life.

Be economical with resources
Resources are limited and has to be shared with more and more people on earth. If you are one of the few lucky ones, who has a life in peace, freedom and security, try to be economical with resources. Ultimately, this is how we can help reduce poverty and protect natural resources.
